The school programme is now fully booked

Schools’ Programme

On Thursday 28 June and Friday 29 June the Lancashire Science Festival will be welcoming hundreds of children from primary schools (KS2+) across the region. After feedback and consultation with secondary schools, we have decided that the Lancashire Science Festival will no longer feature a schools programme for secondary schools. We now offer a Lancashire Science Festival Roadshow for secondary schools, more information can be found on Fringe page.

Due to increasing popularity of the festival we have slightly changed school bookings allocations. Schools that are unsuccessful in getting places for the 2018 festival can apply to be given early priority booking for 2019. This does mean that schools that attend in 2018 may be less likely to be allocated places in 2019, but instead attend in alternate years.

How to book:

  1. Filter the available packages using the two steps below
  2. Find out more about the events in each package by clicking on their titles
  3. Click the Book Now link to book your class onto your chosen package
  4. Packages are designed for either 35 or 20 visitors, including all pupils and staff. You are welcome to book more than one package, although we ask you not to bring group sizes exceeding approximately 70 people (which in most cases will equal two standard classes). Any schools that book more than 70 visitors will be cancelled and released to another school.
  5. If there are no packages remaining which meet your needs please add yourself to our waiting list and priority booking list for 2019 and we will be in touch
